Job Description

Responsibilities:

Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all employees.
Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the HR department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Develops recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; administers the handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration.
Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors development planning, employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing; writes job descriptions and works with corporate recruiter to write ads.
Provides performance feedback to employees and managers. Provides training and support to managers regarding performance feedback.
Administers Workers’ Compensation program: oversee claim activity and coordinate with the claims adjuster on any issues
Reviews accident reports, assist in accident investigation and corrective action review and prepare safety metrics reports.
Establishes and implements improvement projects to address employee retention, training & development, safety and employee relations.
May research questions/problems regarding team member benefits, 401(k), and provide prompt, professional follow-up with employees.

 

Qualifications:

– MUST have Human Resources experience in the services industry
– Bachelor’s Degree
– Minimum 5 year’s Human Resources experience
– Experience handling all HR functions in previous positions
– Experience implementing new HR policies and procedures
– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to wear multiple hats
– Comfortable working for a small family owned business
