Job Description
The Accountant I will be responsible for supporting and assisting with the various parts of the operations of the business office functions. The Accountant I will be required to become familiar with business office processes, have strong analytical skills and to have proven experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Quick Books and other appropriate or relevant software programs. The Accountant I will be expected to have strong organizational and communication skills.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Support the business office with:
- Payroll
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable including CSF and event revenue tracking
- Banking functions
- Fixed assets management and tracking
- Credit card reconciliations
- Yearend accounting functions
- Annual audit support
- Annual volume validation and reconciliation
- Assist with business office IT functions
- Communicate with suppliers and members as directed
- Support business office
- Attendance at member events
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should be willing to grow with the company, be enthusiastic and be willing to learn the business office operations and practices. Background in business and management is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of associates degree in accounting and or business
- 2- 4 years of work experience or equivalent
- Degree in a related field a plus, consideration given to previously held related, positions
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Quick Books, Access and/or similar software programs
- IT background strongly encouraged

The position requires light to moderate physical effort demanded when performing functions under typical office and computer use conditions. Light to moderate physical effort and stamina required for occasional travel and transport of work related materials and equipment to meeting and training sites. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
