Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design & development of electrical systems & equipment for power generation EPC projects
- Lead & coordinate the electrical systems designs on multiple design build projects
- Review and checking of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements
- You should expect to travel up to 25% out in the field
- Develop technical bid tabulation to support the selection of major electrical equipment
- Work with suppliers and purchase electrical equipment and systems (MCC’s, high voltage systems)
Qualifications:
- 7-20 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer supporting large heavy industrial plant (gas, refinery, process plant, etc…) EPC projects
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering (EIT or PE a plus)
- Some experience using AutoCAD software (not an expert, but you need to know how to move around in the software)
- You need some experience out on the construction site performing equipment inspections
- You need experience with the design & layout of electrical equipment & systems including switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, motors, lighting panels, lights, cable trays, instrument loop sheets, disconnects, VFD’s, etc
- You need experience with one-line diagrams, electrical equipment location drawings, plan drawings, details, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc
