Job Description
The Regional Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing, coaching and directing Account Managers. The individual will be responsible for managing and maintaining a cost effective marketing budget and creating marketing plans to support and expand our current service area. Traveling out of state for, but not limited to, catastrophe work, convention promotions, and business meetings while promoting the company is required. The position will report directly to the Regional Manager.
Core responsibilities for this position include:
- Working with the Regional Manager to hire, manage, and develop a staff of Marketing Professionals (to include staffing, performance evaluation, training, etc.)
- Analyzing market research and discuss findings with the Regional Manager; if necessary,receive direction from the Regional Manager to modify strategies in order to meet changing market and competitive conditions
- Working with Regional Manager to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support the branch’s revenue objectives
- Developing and managing the corporate marketing operating budget and provide significant input for branch marketing budgets
- Planning and overseeing advertising and promotional activities including print, online,electronic media, promotional material, and direct mail. All new material must be approved by the Regional Manager.
- Working with Regional Manager to ensure effective control of marketing results, and takes appropriate action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives is accomplished within established budgets
- Overseeing development and maintenance of customer database by working with Account Managers
- Guiding the preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to Regional Managers and Corporate Management Team
- Developing, training, and participating in presentations which are delivered to both internal and external audiences
- Participating in regular Marketing Meetings which will include reporting on the Marketing Department’s progress
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners
C. Experience / Requirements
The position of Regional Marketing Manager requires the following:
- Minimum of 8 years in Marketing and Sales
- Minimum of 2 years in Management in a service based industry, managing at least 2-4 employees
- College degree is helpful
- Excellent time management skills
- Proven track record of successful leadership and management of a marketing department
- Excellent writing skills for correspondence, memorandums and promotional materials
- Willingness to be available after hours as needed
- Ability to excel in a self-managed environment
- Strong group presentation skills
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations
- Expert knowledge in PowerPoint, Word and MS Outlook
- Travel required in and out of California
