Description:
- Owns assignments and is able to provide solutions to a wide variety of problems as they arise
- Ability to work with 3rd party electronics with limited documentation and design functional and stable electronics systems which work together to meet customer needs and project goals.
- Incorporate creativity into the design process to quickly solve problems which don’t have a clear path to solution
- Collaborate with other engineering discipline organizations
- Manage time efficiently without heavy supervision
- Design quality solutions in a very cost sensitive market space
- Create and maintain necessary production documentation for efficient HVM handoff
- Debug prototype systems and provide insight and assistance resolving production issues
- Must have experience with analog and digital circuit design
- Must have experience with microcontroller firmware design
- Must have experience with schematic capture (Altium preferred)
- Must have experience with pcb layout (Altium preferred)
- Must have experience with BOM generation and ECN management
- Mesh networking experience highly desirable
- Must be able to work well with others and promote healthy team relationships with co-workers
- Occasional Travel (Domestic and International) 5%
Qaulfications:
- Previous experience in designing products to meet regulatory requirements of: ETL (or UL), CE, FCC, international power supply standards, ROHS, WEEE is preferred
- 10+ years of experience in design engineering and product engineering roles
- Must be able to work successfully in a multi-discipline engineering organization
- Experience in driving initiatives directly in support of Company’s Key Performance Measurements
- Able to communicate and build relationships with all levels of the organization proficiently
- Experience in the consumer electronics industry is preferred
- Strong analytical, testing and problem solving skills are required
- Experience in estimating and defining product and development cost structures
- BS/MS in an Electrical Engineering discipline is required
