Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support to assigned business groups. This may include but is not limited to: Process improvement, performance management, employee relations, compensation, recruiting, policy and procedure applications, as well as day-to-day operations.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and provides coaching and guidance to management, in support of U.S. Operations. Provides counsel and direction that promotes consistent and fair administration of employee corrective and disciplinary actions throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Supports learning initiatives, including development and/or facilitation of training on relevant subject matter (i.e., performance management, workplace harassment, etc.).
  • Conducts internal investigations in a timely and accurate manager, involving workplace conflicts or allegations of policy violations.
  • Assists with internal ad hoc reporting with respect to employment trends/demographics.
  • Contribute compensation support including approval of salary actions, promotions and job analysis.
  • May administer and develop HR programs, procedures and plans.
  • Stays abreast of new developments, current legal trends and new or changed state and federal laws and regulations impacting employees.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration or other related field
  • 5-7 years’ exposure as an HR Generalist with at least 2-3 years of benefits administration experience

Expert knowledge of

  • COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA Health & welfare benefits, including self-insured medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), etc.
  • Filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs (ERISA, COBRA, PPCAA, IRS Regulations, Department of Labor, HIPAA, CMS)
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Previous experience with Payroll Systems, HRIS and other relevant HR Systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated work experience in the following areas: Employee relations, recruiting, training, performance management and compensation.
  • Demonstrated ability to present, influence, negotiate and effectively coach employees and management to use company best practices for maximum effectiveness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • PHR/SPHR Certification preferred
  • Experience as an HR Generalist in the Technology industry
  • Proven ability to build partnerships at all levels and to coordinate the activities of high-performing and technical cross-functional groups
  • Strong Project Management experience with an ability to manage towards clear deliverables, goals, and agreed upon deadlines
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits, and employee issues.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills: must be engaging, helpful, and maintain a strong sense of urgency when working on behalf of your internal customers.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills: accuracy is essential.
