Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Electrical Controls Engineer develops control system drawings and documents to design, develop, and implement all aspects of the programming for Bard wall mount and in room air conditioning and heating systems. Auxiliary equipment control systems and electrical system design are also the responsibility of this position. The design should be in compliance with UL, ETL and other applicable national and state electrical codes. Focus on designs that are manufacturing friendly. This includes specification reviews, development program timelines and reports, design reviews, simple mechanical designs, documentation packages, preproduction builds and transfers to production. This engineer will also be responsible for technical support of products currently in production.
Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum 4 years of experience in electrical controls and programming using Carel, Allen Bradley, Siemens or similar products.
At least 8 years of experience in electrical controls programming using Carel, Allen Bradley, Siemens or similar products will be considered in lieu of a BS degree
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience in developing variable capacity air conditioning systems is highly desirable.
Must be familiar with AHRI and UL standards.
